Star Wars Battlefront

Creative Labs Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS

When playing Star Wars Battlefront on an Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS card, you may experience the following issues:

  • Windows 98SE/ME: You may experience frequent hitching in the game, especially when vehicles are flying overhead with their weapons firing. When this occurs, setting Mixer Config to Software in Audio Options may improve the framerate in the game.

We recommend that you check for updated drivers with your hardware manufacturer which may correct this issue.

  • You may hear static in sounds when the Mixer Config is set to Software. To correct this issue, setting the Mixer Config option to Hardware should resolve the problem.

You may also experience various issues after changing the Output Mode in Audio Options:

  • You may not hear sound from your rear speakers when you have a 4.1 speaker system with this option set to Surround.

  • You may not hear gunfire if you have a 4.1 speaker system with the output mode set to 5.1 or 7.1.
