How can I close programs running in the background that may affect gameplay?

Please close all other programs before running Star Wars Battlefront. This includes virus-scanning, word processing, and Internet programs. Simply disabling these programs will not always help, as the programs still use resources that are needed to run Star Wars Battlefront.
