I'm having problems with my Kensington Expert Mouse in the game. What can I do?

When using the Kensington Expert Mouse with the PS/2 adaptor, the mouse may lose sensitivity in the game. Adjusting the sensitivity in the Mouse Control Panel or Kensington Mouseware does not correct this issue with this configuration.
NOTE: This does not occur when using a USB adaptor with this device.
