LucasArts Entertainment Company Names New Senior Executives
SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- May 9, 2000 -- LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC today announced the appointments of three executives to senior positions within the company. Joining LucasArts are Randy Breen, vice president of development; Mike Nelson, vice president of finance and administration; and Andrea Yelle, director of human resources.
Randy Breen joins LucasArts after 14 years in a variety of development positions at Electronic Arts (EA) in Redwood Shores, Calif. His most recent position at EA was creative director, where he was responsible for the design and direction of the upcoming James Bond-based multi-platform title The World Is Not Enough. Prior to that, Breen was executive producer of EA's Road Rash game series.
For LucasArts, Breen will direct the development of the company's PC, next generation console-based and hand-held Star Wars® and original game titles.
Mike Nelson brings to LucasArts more than 20 years experience in finance and planning from San Francisco-based Levi Strauss & Company. As Director of Finance and Planning for Levi Strauss, Nelson most recently managed the strategic development and business planning functions for the unit which marketed the company's branded products in the United States.
Andrea Yelle was previously human resources director for Benchmark Hospitality, a company which manages the Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, Calif. While there, Yelle directed a team of four employees and oversaw staff training, development, and recruitment of 600 personnel for the dual season ski and golf resort and conference center. She began at Benchmark Hospitality in 1994 as human resources manager.
